Many companies are specialists in one particular area of temporary works design but they will only design within their field of expertise. Only RNP Associates Limited are specialist temporary works engineers that can design your complete scheme.

For example, a scaffold design company will design a scaffold but will not design the foundations, neither will it check that the structure the scaffold is connected to is capable to withstand the tie loads imposed upon it. RNP Associates Limited will design the complete scheme – even the difficult elements.

However, we understand that our customers often want to get a design from their chosen supplier. Where there are parts of the scheme “By Contractor”, we will design these elements and check the suppliers scheme to be sure you have been provided with the most economic solution.

We are regularly asked to undertake checks on designs for formworks and excavation supports for our clients. We use the latest software to produce an economical and safe design. We can design schemes for all formworks and for sheet piles, king post walls or smaller “dig and push” schemes.

It is essential that the stability of a structure is maintained throughout the construction process - that is where our knowledge of structures comes in. We have dealt with many refurbishment schemes ranging from small openings in load bearing walls to the complete demolition of large buildings and bridges. We consider the stability of the remaining structure to ensure it is not compromised during construction activity, and will provide a system of restraint only when it is required.

We undertake designs and checks for all temporary works activities and will provide you with completed clear and concise AutoCad drawings for your schemes when designed in-house. Where necessary, these drawings will be supported with design calculations, check certificates, risk assessments and method statements. For checks on third party schemes, after we have reviewed the design and subject to satisfactory findings, we will issue you a certificate confirming their suitability for use.

When required, we will visit your construction site to check the installation of any temporary works and will issue you a report on our findings and/or a check certificate confirming their correct installation and release for safe use for your operatives.
